Other Trails

As well as the Lake2Lake Trail and Upukerora Trail there are many other fantastic trails in and around the Fiordland area, suitable for a wide range of abilities. 

Ivon Wilson Park

Easy walk and bike tracks

Ivon Wilson Park in Te Anau offers a mountain biking track with sections for all abilities. The 8km single track circuit has easy, medium and technical sections, some suitable for families. The track winds through the beautiful scenery of the park, with a highlight being the stunning Lake Henry. Free maps of the trail are available at the Fiordland National Park Visitor Centre.

Perenuka Mountain Bike Park

Mountain Bike Trails

Just 6km from Te Anau town centre on the corner of Sinclair Road there is a growing single track playground for mountain bikers. This trail is considered a Grade 3 – Intermediate trail.

Around the Mountains cycle trail

Cycle trail

The 186km Around the Mountains Cycle Trail is a trail of contrasts – from the energetic adrenalin-seekers paradise of Queenstown to absolute tranquillity as you traverse the agricultural hinterland of Southland. The full journey can be ridden in either direction, starting at Kingston or Walter Peak, and takes 3-5 days at a relaxed pace on this easy to conquer trail.

Percy Pass

Full day epic 75km trail

The Percy Pass is a 70km+, Grade 5 trail, for the seasoned rider. It’s a tough ride, in remote surroundings, not to be taken lightly!
