Our Trustees

Our Trustees

Our current Trustees are listed below – although a huge thanks must also go to the past Trustees who have been instrumental in getting everything to this point in time

Dr Stephen Hoskin

Stephen has lived in Te Anau since 2006, working as a local GP and helping parent four children. He joined the trust in 2012, keen to help make it appealing, safe, sociable, convenient and affordable to be physically active locally (also because he enjoys biking and running and “because my kids hate driving out of town”).  He says he appreciates the economic and conservation benefits the trail can bring and that being a trustee has given many meaningful moments: opening new sections of trail; seeing young and old out on the trail; hearing so much positive feedback; seeing the support from businesses and individuals; working and learning with a great team of trustees.

Jocelyn Hodges - Secretary

Lived in Fiordland since I was born, married to Neil, involved in retail and tourism, love being involved and giving back to our community, enjoy cycling existing trail and passionate about assisting in helping extending them before I am too old to enjoy them.  Keen to leave a legacy for our grandchildren.

Heather Sinclair

Been with the Trust since the incorporation and a keen runner and biker.
Heather sits on the Events Committee and was instrumental in the execution of the inaugural half marathon as a fund raiser in 2019

Bob Crawford

Southlander born and bred. Part time Te Anau resident since 1995 and moved here permanently following semi-retirement in 2016. Spent close 40 years in the Motor Industry in various roles. Love living in Fiordland, a wonderful part of the world. Enjoy all the outdoor activities the region has to offer.

Marilyn Swanson - Treasurer

A born and bred Southlander, self employed accountant for 29 years. Fell in love with Fiordland on my many childhood holidays at Manapouri and later houseboating with my husband and three children on Lake Te Anau. Semi-retired to Te Anau 6 years ago and new to the Trust as their Treasurer. I am a passionate gardener and enjoy cycling the trails so wonderfully made by the Fiordland Trails Trust. Looking forward to being part of the Trusts next project.

David Boniface

Trustee and Engineer to the Fiordland Trails Trust
A semi retired Asset and Project Manager who ‘gets things done’. Passionate about Fiordland and the Community and I enjoy working with positive people as in our Trust and in the Te Anau Community.

Lester Laughton

Lester is a retired Veterinarian, having worked both in private practice and for an SOE. Been living permanently in Manapouri, with his Melva since 2017.
